Santa Arrives in a Helicopter

This December marks the 60th Anniversary of Carmel Valley Santa’s Fly-In, sponsored by the Carmel Valley Community Youth Center.  This jolly event will take place Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Carmel Valley Airfield on Ford Road in Carmel Valley, California.  All eyes will be looking up at the winter sky beginning at 10:30 am awaiting the delivery from helicopter of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Greeted by holiday music, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way through the crowd to their sleigh pulled by volunteer “reindeer”.  The sleigh is one of many “automobiles” that participate in the holiday parade through the Carmel Valley Village to the Carmel Valley Community Youth Center, rain or shine.


A Parade with Santa 

Organizations and local businesses will follow Santa and Mrs. Claus in the parade filled with horses, the Carmel Valley Kiwanis Club famous train, unique autos and of course it will include holiday candy given to the little ones.  “Santa’s workshop” will be the destination of the parade where there will be an opportunity to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  The Community Park will be the host to other holiday activities, arts and crafts booths and food and drinks, available for an additional cost.


Unique to the Monterey Peninsula and Carmel Valley this cheerful event has been a holiday tradition for families of many generations and is celebrated with the help of many volunteers.

This holiday event is free and open to the public. There is something for each one of your family members to enjoy.  Do not miss this seasonal event!
